Locker Room Sessions

Creative Player Portraits

Join one of our open mini session dates or book a private session for your team. Stating at just $30 per player, these locker room sessions are a quick, fun way to make memories. We use real locker rooms and creative lighting to capture a unique, edgy photo of your athlete.

Read below for details on what to expect and how to prepare for your session.

How it Works

Players will pose as individuals or together (max 3-4 per pose). They will sit in full equipment, including game socks, without a jersey. Their game jerseys (home and away) will hang behind, with their helmet, gloves and sticks placed on the bench beside them. Other swag and props may be placed on the bench beside them or hung behind if hooks are available.

Each pose takes about 2-5 minutes to setup and shoot.  Crush will take a series of photos and select the best one from each player/pose to edit and deliver.

Be sure to read the section below, including the FAQ's for details on what to expect and how to prepare for your session.

FAQ

How long are the sessions?

A.Each player takes between 2 and 5 minutes to shoot. Team sessions require 30 minutes to set up and can take on average 1 - 1.5 hours to shoot, depending on the number of players and whether siblings join.

How much time do you need to setup for a team session?

A.We need approximately 30 minutes to setup for a team session.

Do you use the same locker room the players change in for the photos?

A.No, in order to respect player privacy and comply with various association and league rules around taking photos and video in dressing rooms, we require an additional locker room dedicated to the photo session.

Can you take the photos in the same locker room as the players use to dress?

A.In most cases we require a separate room to take photos so that we can stay on time and in compliance with association/league rules around taking photographs in changerooms.

If you would like to use the same room, you will need to ensure all players are dressed and clear of the room prior to setting up. Player bags and personal belongings will need to be stacked in a corner out of the way.

If you are concerned about getting an extra room, please discuss this with us when booking.

Do you book the locker rooms?

A.We will only schedule the locker room for the individual mini-sessions. For team sessions, we rely on the team to book the room as we normally try to overlap with a practice. Please be sure to book an extra room as we can't shoot in the same room the players use to change.

I have three kids playing hockey on different teams, can they have a photo together?

A.Yes, if siblings are going to be sitting together, please be sure to indicate this when booking your team session. We can typically accommodate up to four players in a single pose. We need to know in advance so we an plan to adjust lighting if required. We also want to make sure we alot enough time as group shots take a bit longer to shoot.

If you're booking a team session please be sure to check with parents if they plan to have any siblings attend the shoot.

Do the athletes have to be a hockey player or can they participate in another sport?

A.No, we can certainly shoot athletes from sports other than hockey. This is quite common when siblings sit together for a photo.

Can we get a group team photo?

A.Locker room sessions do not include a group team photo. These sessions are meant to photograph individual players and smaller groups such as siblings. If your team is interested in a group team photo, please check out some of our other session types.

Do you require any parent volunteers to help with the shoot?

A.For team sessions we do appreciate 2-3 volunteers to help get the players ready and swap jerseys. This ensures the shoot moves smoothly so we can get you done on time.

We don't require parent volunteers for the individual mini sessions.

Who supplies the jersey's?

A.Players must bring their own jersey's. We prefer to work with both home and away jersey's, however we can shoot with only one jersey as well.

What do I need to bring to my session?

A.Be sure to bring all of your equipment, including skates, helmet and stick. You will be wearing everything except your jerseys, which will hang behind you.

For individual mini sessions, be sure to bring home and away jerseys. For team sessions, the jersey parent will need to be sure to bring both home and away jerseys for all players participating.

If you have some swag or props you'd like in the photo you can bring it. Please note that due to time constraints, and lighting we may not be able to accomodate all props, but we'll try out best.

If you want that hard working, sweaty look, or you should bring a spray bottle and brush.

Here's a checklist to help:

- Jerseys (Home & Away)
- All equipment, including skates, helmets, gloves and sticks.
- Swag or props
- Spray bottle and brush

Are there changing facilities available for the individual mini sessions?

A.No. We require players to arrive dressed and ready to shoot. There will be some time and space for them to put skates on, however we generally won't have room for hockey bags and dressing.
